At 22 years old and having just graduated from Interior Design Online with a Certificate IV in Interior Decoration and a Highly Commended Award, Hanna is exploring various creative career avenues. She’s enthusiastically embracing work experience opportunities in styling for both fashion and interiors, as well as visual merchandising and interior decoration.

What are your career aspirations?

Through persistence, networking and putting myself out there, I want to become a well known Interior Stylist with a variety of skills and experience ranging from property styling to magazine shoots.

“I want to continue to learn and grow as a designer throughout my career – I think it’s important to keep evolving as a creative.”

What have you enjoyed most about studying with Interior Design Online?

Living in Perth I found that my options for studying interior design and decoration were limited, so I was thrilled to discover I could complete an industry accredited course online. The amazing and thorough feedback I received from the Educators throughout my course was incredibly valuable.

What advice would you give to current students?

Don’t be afraid to email your Educators with questions throughout your course. They will always get back to you with in depth guidance and support to help you learn and grow and be inspired!

Your go-tos for inspiration…

I’ve subscribed to various interior design websites and blogs, and I enjoyed reading through them each day before I started my course work. It gave me that extra boost of creative inspiration.

I can’t live without…

family! They are the ones who never stop believing in me, wherever life may take me.

Favourite recent interiors trends…

/  Resort-inspired style – especially in bathrooms, and rattan furniture.

/  Natural materials used in vessels and small sculptures with an organic  feel.

/  Beautiful vignettes displaying potted succulents and personal pieces. It’s a great way to show some love to a neglected or overlooked area.

/  Feature walls created with unique wallpaper designs or by hanging a beautiful rug.
