Take your ideas to the next level and professionally present your designs using the latest industry software including AutoCAD, SketchUp and Revit.
Develop a thorough understanding of interior construction methods and building techniques empowering you to co-ordinate a residential build. Through a series of practical exercises you’ll develop a documentation package for a residential project in AutoCAD and a commercial project in Revit including plans, elevations, sections, joinery details and 3D models. You’ll visualise an interior from the ground up in SketchUp adding furniture from the 3D Warehouse, lighting and materials finishes.
Graduate with the confidence to present your designs to industry standard – impressing prospective clients and employers with 2D drawings and 3D imagery. This course is entirely self paced, an Educator will be available to answer questions via email and you will have access to weekly ‘Help Hub’ support sessions via Zoom.

How To Apply
Simply apply and pay online, there are no pre-requisites for this course. Our team will process your enrolment on the same day or the next business day. They will send you a unique login to our eCampus and then you can start studying.
Course Details

- Delivered entirely online with support and feedback from our Educators
- 9 months (3 hours per week)
- This time frame commences from the day you receive access to our eCampus
- If you require a longer period you will need to submit an extension application
- Pay $2,450 in full (GST free)
- Or pay a deposit of $800 followed by 3 monthly instalments of $550 via Ezidebit
- A 2% PayPal processing fee will be applied at checkout (inc GST).
- Please note: Australian students will need to install the free education version of AutoCAD and Revit and purchase a 12 month student subscription to SketchUp (approximately AUD $93.50). If you are studying outside Australia you can find your local software provider here.

This course is delivered on a PC and all resources provided are based on students using a PC. If you chose to use a MAC you will need to purchase and install Windows to access Revit. Please note we do not provide installation or technical support for MAC users.

Who Should Apply?
Whilst it’s desirable to have a basic understanding of technical drawing, it’s not essential. Our dedicated Educators will introduce you to the software step by step, starting with the basics.
This course has been designed for Interior Decorators and Designers, Architects, Draftspeople, Builders, Landscape Architects, students studying architecture or interiors and those working in the construction industry.

Entry
To study with Interior Design Online you will need a strong command of the English language (verbal, written and comprehension) and, if required, be able to score at least 6 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test here or an equivalent.
If required, our team will be in contact with you by telephone to assess your English language proficiency, prior to an enrolment confirmation being sent. If your application is not successful due to your language ability your payment will be refunded in full.
Accreditation
You’ll receive an accredited and nationally recognised Statement of Attainment from our partner Sydney Design School (RTO 91446). This can be used as credit towards further study including the Diploma of Interior Design (MSF50222).
This vocational short course is written and developed by industry professionals to ensure our students study the most relevant and current content. This course is accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), the national regulator for Australia’s vocational education and training sector.
