There’s no doubt that well considered lighting is a key feature of any interior space. Melbourne’s Klaylife produces one of a kind clay beaded lights and chandeliers that are absolute show stoppers. Beyond that they have a very human story rooted in traditional craftsmanship of South Africa.
Each clay bead is hand rolled from raw clay then sun dried, kiln fired and dip-dyed and finally they are strung onto iron frames. This hand made process ensures that no two pieces are ever the same.
