In this course you will learn to conceptualise, source and specify all elements of this special day including table settings and napery, lighting, stationary, props and florals. Led by industry expert Dani Dean, Founder and Creative Director of The Make Haus, this course will equip you with the essential knowledge and skills to launch and grow your own wedding styling business.

This course has been developed with leading Australian Stylist, Dani Dean of The Make Haus. She shares her insights and tips developed over years of industry-leading, real world experience. If you need support our Educators, are on hand to answer your questions and give detailed feedback on your activities.
What does the course cover?
We’ll cover both the creative and business aspects of freelance styling including the core design principles you’ll need to interpret a brief and creatively direct the styling of a wedding. You’ll identify and establish your visual style and professional identity to promote yourself as a Wedding Stylist on various platforms including social media.
Through real-life case studies, you’ll explore a variety of wedding styles—including intimate, custom, beach, and country weddings. You’ll learn how to conceptualise and direct the overall mood of an event, curating every detail from table settings and napery to lighting, stationery, props, and florals.
As part of the course, you’ll prepare styling proposals for three different clients, each with unique locations and themes. For one of these clients you’ll develop a full styling solution, bringing their brief and vision to life.
In addition to insights from Dani Dean, you’ll gain valuable perspectives from other leading industry professionals, providing a well-rounded understanding of current trends and best practices in wedding styling.
On completion of this course, you’ll have the creative expertise and business know-how to take the next step towards an exciting career as a Stylist in the wedding industry.

How does it work?
This course is delivered through our online eCampus. The eCampus is easy to navigate and accessible from anywhere there is an internet connection. It is filled with inspirational images, practical resources, video presentations and lots of real life examples.
You will work through a range of activities introducing you to the key skills required to work as a Wedding Stylist. Each activity carefully guides you step-by-step through the creative process, gradually building your knowledge and confidence.
Along the way, our Educators – styling professionals working in the industry – will be on hand to provide guidance and answer questions. As you complete your activities and two assessments, you simply photograph and upload your work for marking and feedback. You will also be required to present live online to your Educator.
What skills do I need?
You will need basic computer knowledge and the ability to navigate the internet. In terms of equipment you will need a computer or laptop with Microsoft Office, access to the internet (preferably broadband), access to an A4 printer and scanner (Min 1000+ DPI) and a digital camera or phone camera.
You are required to upload your assessments as a PDF so you will need software on your phone such as Turbo Scan or Genius Scan.
To study with Interior Design Online you will need a strong command of the English language (verbal, written and comprehension) and, if required, be able to score at least 6 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test here or an equivalent.
If required, our team will be in contact with you by telephone to assess your English language proficiency, prior to an enrolment confirmation being sent. If your application is not successful due to your language ability your payment will be refunded in full.
What are the career opportunities?
You will graduate with the skills to work as a professional Wedding Stylist.
You will receive a Statement of Attainment with an accredited competency.

What is the cost?
- Pay AUD $1,295 in full (GST free) or pay a deposit of $495 followed by 2 monthly instalments of $400 via Ezidebit.
