AutoCAD, SketchUp
and Revit

Take your ideas to the next level and present your designs using the latest industry software. You’ll start by developing a thorough understanding of interior construction methods and building techniques empowering you to co-ordinate a residential build. Through a series of practical exercises you’ll develop a documentation package for a residential project in AutoCAD. Next, you’ll visualise an interior from the ground up in SketchUp adding furniture, lighting and finishes. Finally you’ll be introduced to Revit through a commercial project where you will produce plans, elevations, sections, joinery details and 3D models.

Why learn these tools?

AutoCAD is one of the most widely used 2D drawing tools, which means your plans will be easily recognised and understood by engineers, builders, carpenters and plumbers. SketchUp allows you to model your ideas in 3D quickly and drag in pre-made furniture and surfaces. Revit streamlines your workflow saving time and resources. This highly efficient building information modelling tool (BIM) allows you to create 2D drawings and 3D models packed with detailed data.
